The Styropan series of cutting machines of polystyrene allows you to minimize your work time, with quick accurate cuts. General description - Polystyrene Cutting machine  Verix 3000




The Verix Optima 3000 is a handy, flexible cutting machine of expanded (EPS) and extruded polystyrene (XPS),  modern designed using a heated wire system. It has two arms, one at each side. The left supporting arm allows adjustment of the angles with range 00-450, while the right arm- ruler, bears indications of length measurement with a special metal stop. The handle on which the wire is attached  may be shifted transversely to the previous direction of  torsion with a torsion angle range 00-550.

With this system  it is possible to form the slabs for all oblique , lateral and diagonal cuts , while the framing of joint or beveled edge on the slabs is easy , fast and accurate. Furthermore, special parts such as, for example , the creation of molds for concreting, can also be configured, offering applications gangs of workmen amazing flexibility and the possibility of a  variety of construction  maneuvers. The device operates with a low voltage adapter (30V) connected to a power supply of 220V. The adapter  is  connected with an XLR wire with handle (bow). The wire is heated by pressing the button located in the center of the handle. It is noted that the cutting slabs should be clean of glue, adhesives residues or other contaminants.

straight cuts

a. Adjust the angle of the handle and both sides at 0 degrees. 

b. Mark the desired cut line on the slab of polystyrene. 

c. Lift the handle and place the slab of polystyrene on the base.

 d. Use the auxiliary arm to place the material at the cutting point.

e. Push the handle towards the material in order to cut it.

f. Release the button and the heated wire will cool after a few seconds.

 

     
Cutting in stages

a. Adjust the angle of the handle and both sides at 0 degrees.

b. Mark the desired cut line on the slab of polystyrene.

c. Lift the handle and place the slab of polystyrene on the base.

d. Press the button  and keep it pressed (the wire is heated)
e. Push the handle towards the material in order to cut it.

f. When you reach the desired depth stage, move the material to the left until you finish the cut.

g. Release the button and the heated wire will cool after a few seconds.

 


Angle cuts

Bevel cuts

a. Adjust the angle of the handle at both sides at 0 degrees.

b. Mark the desired cut line on the slab of polystyrene.

c. Lift the handle and place the slab of  polystyrene on the base.

d. Press the button and keep it pressed ( the wire is heated ) .

e. Push the handle towards the  material in order to cut it.

f. When you reach the desired stage depth , move the material to the right.

g. After you reach the desired bevel width , lift the handle.

h. Release the button and the heated wire will cool after a few seconds.

 


Diagonal cuts

b. Adjust the desired angle to the reference angle.

c. Lift the handle and place the slab of  polystyrene on the base.

d Place the material on the ruler.

e. Press the button and keep it pressed.

f. Press the handle towards the material in order to cut it.

g. Release the button and the heated wire will cool after a few seconds.

 


Note: 

It is important to read the following safety use instructions carefully and completely

- The operator of the unit should be trained and be familiar with the device . During the operation of the unit,  the use of the appropriate personal protective equipment should be made  and all necessary measures required when performing a hot work should be taken.


-The unit can be operated only with the original cables supplied with the purchase. The use of other cables can lead to destruction of the adapter or at increased risk of fire or other damage.

 

-The use of the unit should be done outside or in a properly ventilated area.

 

-The device operates with a low voltage adapter connected to power supply of 220V. It is therefore important to protect the device from moisture. The operation in air or other moisture conditions are not allowed!


- In case repairs need to be made, disconnect the device from the power supply !

 

- Repairs are made only by authorized personnel.

 

- Attention after using disconnect the machine from the power !

 

- The wire is very hot during cutting and should not be contacted in any way . This would result in serious burns . Therefore , it is recommended to use suitable protective gloves . Furthermore , the wire is under high tension . During operation, there is the possibility that the wire be cut and a spark appears . Therefore, the use therefore of protective safety glasses is mandatory !

-Before starting work, all machine screws must be tightened as well as the outputs must be connected correctly.

 

-Before using you should ensure the stable placement and removal of sources of risk from the surroundings.

 

-If the wire is not heated after prolonged continuous use, the adapter can be overheated and must be left to cool.

 

-The button must not be always pressed! (fire hazard)
